Children and adults might not have the resources to be educated on their own or even in school. The Diaspora Youth Initiative has been created to help these people who might not have the opportunity to learn on their own by providing books, health and wellness daily! The future is in our hands and The Diaspora Initiative is here to give a helping hand and a create a well educated society for the future of Guyana.
PPE and Book Donations
Corona Virus has effected everyone and in these times many people in Guyana have not been able to afford or haven’t been given adequate protective gear such as N95 masks and face shields. There are about 7 ventilators in this country so we need your help to get PPE shipped to hospitals and masks handed out to people who depend on it!
Book Donations are a step into our Education Initiative which we will distribute and donate to schools across the country to help educate and teach children who have been working with old outdated books. Whether it be a reading book, dictionary, SAT book or any other educational book they are all useful and can change the life of someone in need!
Health Documents
Health is something everyone even in the US has struggled with. Medical bills, medicine and appointments cost a lot of money and so do procedures if you need them. Our goal is to help educate more people who can’t afford to go to doctor on their specific illness. All these PDFs are printable and will be handed out to people who have these specific health issues. Using natural remedies and having a good diet can help many of these issues as well as create a better mental and physical attitude!
Online lessons
Education can be achieved outside of the classroom and can give children an extra boost in their academics. Our goal for online lessons is to use google classroom to help these children learn how to read, write and get mentoured on anything they needs help with. With calls twice a week and an online classroom these kids can learn so much!
Youth Empowerment
The people who we choose to be close friends with would tell a lot about who we are and what to expect. A goal of this initiative is to help youths to become more self-aware and cautious of who they choose to be around.
Book Donation
A library with many choice of books is a world by itself ready to be discovered. Upon visiting various Primary schools in the noble county of Berbice Guyana, we are happy to add many books to their libraries’ collection.
